Spoilers…Watched this last night, great little movie with a big heart. And no smug wokeness in sight…I think a crowd of new age types were battered by a rockslide, caused by the troll, quite early on in the film…I found that quite satisfying.

So disappointing. The plot was thin to non-existent. The troll, no doubt based on Jotner in Troll Hunter, bore little creativity. Basically it was Godzilla in the form of a 'troll'. Troll Hunter, in my and many others' books, is the best found footage movie ever made, the trolls really carry intrigue. We see four different kinds, from the absurdity of Tusselad to the deformed inbred-like monstrocity of Ringlefinch . Troll on the other hand takes itself WAAAAAAYYYYY to seriously. Norway, please stop selling your soul to Hollywood. You have a fascinating country and your entertainment should reflect that and stay true to itself. To those who haven't seen Troll Hunter, DO SO like now

Shameless Godzilla retake, along with ID4 characterizations, etc. Some scaling issues where the Troll seems to expand from the size of a two story house to a skyscraper. So much could be done with the material such a waste turning it into a blatant copy of monster movies we've seen a million times before.
