The casting wasn’t so great other than Queen Elizabeth. It’s hard to believe that the cast director saw the actress who plays the queen mum, and thought jackpot!
My biggest disappoint in this season is actually Diana. This was THE season for her because it was around the time when she regains her strength & voice and starts to flash out her identity and power – as shown by her actions and her fashion choices at this time. Instead we got her crying and sad and while that is a part of her story by no means it is all of it. I would have loved to see her smashing tea cups as apparently she did after her divorce was through. I think it would have been so much intriguing seeing her gaining more & more power and confidence and clashing with the old system. Dont get me wrong – Elizabeth was very very good but I expected so much more….
China will make a tv series like this in 50 years…. But it will be about the US. And the characters will be nowhere near as classy, or like able

I'm enjoying this immensely, especially the focus on the backstories of various characters (Mou Mou was brilliant). I was worried that it would be all about Charles and Diana (who, although she plays the part quite well, seems absurdly tall compared to literally everybody else on the show).
I watched the previous seasons, I know the story, I lived it, I don't think I can take any more of it. I greatly respected the Queen, but I never had any sympathy for other royals, least of all Diana and Charles. This is where both the series and the monarchy should end. And, let's be honest, to me Imelda Staunton will be forever Dolores Umbridge… It's scarred in my forearm permanently.

They say this is Lizzies "crowning moment". Oh no it ISNT! Her crowning moment was when she shared her naked body with the world. I admire a woman who does not hoard and mismanage her assets. The Night Manager was an awesome miniseries.

Netflix should and Peter should definitely consider season 7 and 8 to wrap it all up. It would really be a complete story…from "operation Hydepark Corner" to "operation London Bridge"… also 7&8 would be a refresher after a very difficult season 5 and potentially 6

It had been so long since I had seen The Crown that I just decided to start all over again ~ I don’t remember it being like this at all. I don’t remember the first actors But thought Clair Foy and Matt Smith were stupendous. This second bunch of actors…..😮💨🫣😩~the Queen is such a bad actress that she looks & sounds like she’s got a corn cob up her butt.
Makeup departments are so good that very subtle aging techniques would’ve been the way to go not a whole new set of actors who don’t look a damn thing like the first ones.

The absolute bottom line is that the QUEEN ordered Chuck to find a wife although he was in LOVE with someone and they KNEW IT!! Yet they let Chuck choose a most innocent woman to marry, AGAIN denying the love of one of the monarchy – the queen denied princess Margaret her true love, and then denied Chuck his true love!! WHAT GIVES HER THAT RIGHT??!! Instead, they take an innocent girl like Diana and completely destroy her in the process and in the name of the BS crown!! I see them for what they are and always have been: while the queen’s husband ran around with whomever ALL THROUGHOUT their marriage, queenie couldn’t let anyone else be happy because of this! And make NO mistake – at least three of their children knew about the marriage of their parents, and none of it good, none of it faithful (on his part anyway), and none of it holier than thou!!! The queen’s marriage was a joke from the get-go, or why else did their children behave this way in their marriages?!
