its in cinemas. but when will it be on netflix is my question
Yes you are revolting. Jesus this is trash
ok i dont like musicals but this fools great
i love it soo much when will it be out on tv
So disappointing. I really didn’t feel they spent enough of the 2+ hours getting us to care for the characters, I think the producers just assumed due to the love the story has, that we’d automatically fall for the leads. Emma Thompson looks utterly absurd, and not even a tiny bit scary. Matilda is an uncanny likeliness of Emma Watson. The sum of its parts suggested a classic, but it just falls flat. The story is a mess. The nasty bits were too nasty, and the nice bits too nice. And Matilda moves a few cups then creates a chain Magnus 😅😅 dreadfully disappointed
Don't believe the hype – the performances and songs are good, but the film itself is stylized, staged and over the top. Mixed reviews from me. If I saw this on stage, it would be a different story. There are some nice, low-key moments between Matilda and Miss Honey and their friendship/relationship is really nice, as is the friendship between Matilda and the mobile librarian, Miss Phelps. The original story it's taken from is really good and if you've never read it, I suggest you go and read it. I remember really liking it when I was a kid and I also liked the 1996 film version with Mara Wilson and Danny DeVito, which, although Americanised, works much better than this recent adaptation. I'm not denying that there are some really powerful messages about empowerment, believing in yourself and overcoming the odds as well as a subtle message about diversity. Other than that, the ending was almost too perfect. I mean, a fairground in a school? Come on! And there is no school that exists that calls themselves The Friendly School. I can see what they were trying to do, but…. Also, the story that Matilda tells about the escapalogist and the acrobat: It's very cleverly tied in with Miss Honey's backstory and I understand it's there to illustrate Matilda's creativity and vivid imagination, but it's more than a little bit distracting when you've got another story going off inside the one you're already telling, especially when it doesn't go anywhere. I understand there was some kind of point to that, but that's just my opinion.
Watched the movie hours ago, and it. Is. PERFECT!
I'm so excited to be able to watch a version that isn't the low quality bootleg I found awhile ago!
the fact that they used the same women as a headmistress like the old movie.
I dunno man.
🤮🤮🤮
This looks amazing
Another sucky film….oh my eyes are burning .
no hate but netflix revolting means: disgusting so its we are disgusting children using disgusting rhymes
Ahhhh I can't wait till 11 of December
I can't wait to go see it
Here we go again with the RACE ISSUE. That the Teacher is black & should be white ignorant rant & thinking.
You are displaying IGNORANCE with your comment. In Theatre or In Movies, a role can be color-blind meaning the ethnicity does NOT make difference because it is a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. Now a white actress playing Rosa Parks or a white actor playing Dr. Martin Luther King Are EXCEPTIONS because they are REAL & HISTORICAL FIGURES. A black actress playing the role of the Teacher does NOT detract, dilute, distract or denigrate the character’s part in the whole story. 🙄🖐🏼🎤
When is this coming out on netflix
Just went to see it last night. This movie is AMAZING. Absolutely epic. Possibly the best (new) movie I’ve seen all year!
I don’t remember miss honey being black? 😂

My bestie and I are about to see this movie at cinemas soon!! Cant wait!!
Only thing I picked up on is that the kids look like they're acting instead of actually being scared, you can tell near the end when one of them does a sign..
