Wow this doco was sad, the man was a controlling abusive bully to his wife and step kids.
She was possesive and controlling.did the bare minimum for her children and shot him infront of thm
I love how Ray's friend from the gym was so sure that Ray was not capable of hurting his wife despite not being with Ray 24/7. I mean the children literally said that Ray had hurt and punched Sally on different occasions, but the friend acted as if they he had known better than the people who literally live under the same roof with Ray, because apparently, for him " a black husband beating his white wife is so typical". I don't understand why he had to bring up race in this case 🥱. Ray literally made someone go blond with his bare hands.😮💨
A very moving and shocking documentary. That woman was abused by her parents and then by her husband. Eventually she killed her tormentor. She was sententeced to 19 years in prison. Can anybody explain to me why she spent 25 years there, though?
This is is a real perplexing case wrapped up in a lot of drama. i personally avoided to get intertwined in the testimony of the defendant, her relatives as well as the Ray's friends. You gotta focus on the forensic evidence. Sally shot him twice. First when he was standing and alive. second, when he was already dead after the bullet got through his abdomen. She shot him in the FACE while he was laying on ground counting his very last minutes in life. which means that it wasn't self-defence it was vengeance after cheating on her with another woman. Besides, she had the opportunity to get out of that toxic relationship, she collected her things and was ready to hit the road and then she started arguing with him over some nonsense. Why the sudden change of heart? the answer is that she was as nuts as him and leaving him wasn't gonna put down the fire in her heart. Is she guilty ? Yes . Does she deserve 25 years in prison. Absolutely Not.
Ray only cared about himself, made Sally and her kids go to Mexico to buy steroids, blind a person intentionally, and etc “BUT HE’S A GENTLE GIANT” Sally makes her own money, cared for her kids, loved Ray, spent her hard working money on Ray, was ABUSED by Ray, and only tried to protect herself “BUT SHE’s NOT A BATTERED WOMAN AND IS KNOWN AS KILLER SALLY”
That’s the most unjustified shit I have ever heard and seen. Sally needs justice. She did not deserve all those times missing her kids grow up. Her kids did NOT deserve to go through all those trauma.
I just got finished watching this I believe that woman got really screwed over what do they expect her to do he wouldn't let her leave he's a monster of a man and the only reason she shot him twice becuse after the first shot it was him or her if she wouldn't have shot him again he would have killed her I watch a lot of these things this is one of the first times I really think she was defending her self I sorry she lost 25 years of her life if your a man and your going to keep beating and putting your hands on a women that what you get I'm glad she found a good man and is moving on with her life
THIS! This is exactly why you DO NOT speak to Law Enforcement. EVER! They are not your friends. From the moment they make contact with you, they are trying to build a case against you. Keep your mouth shut and do not provide any statements without first consulting an attorney! And for the record, I am a cop. Been in Law Enforcement for over 23 years. I have seen first-hand just how tipped the scales of INjustice actually are.
Sally was a whole clown and I don't feel sorry for her at all. Make better decisions, yall. 🤡
I hate the prosecutor. What a dirtbag. I also felt touched and rather guilty when she said the bodybuilding community turned on me but not the wrestling community. I kind of hate wrestling (mostly bc my brother would control our one television growing up) but I realized the wrestling community is likely made up of blue collar people who I will say are the ones that will help you out when you’re broken down or stuck in the snow. They’re also the best tippers. When I waitresses a crew of construction guys were more generous and often more polite than the snappy dressers. 😉
He only cared about being hugh and getting whatever woman he wanted.
I just finished watching this and let me tell you I do not feel sorry for Sally. Yes what Ray did was wrong, But Sally's ass should take accountability for her actions. You can tell in this documentary, There is a lot of missing details that Sally did not want to talk about
This is bull shit she killed in self defense her kids were abused by her husband ..I say free sally it’s unjust to lock someone up for self defense..
The prosecutor only wanted to find evidence taut proves that she was aggressive while completely ignoring the kids recorded testimony of what they saw what happened and their experiences with ray.
Come on Bertal Fox your up next .
The prosecutor and everyone else clearly never cared about the children’s testimony. The prosecutor only cared about another notch on his belt….. prosecutor should be hung
Rays friend pisses me off with the bs coming out his mouth
Excellent documentary… Just finished it. It's gripping and thought-provoking. Her sentence was way too harsh. And I know it's off topic and I probably shouldn't say it, but her son is gorgeous.
😂😂😂
She is so disgusting.
Steroids are bad
This was the most objective true crime documentary I’ve seen on Netflix. Thank God for the happy ending. Generational trauma is real. I pray that Sally finds herself in a more happy and healthy marriage this time around.
Bs sentence. She should be out
Heartbreaking documentary. Poor kids and poor Sally. All her life she was beaten from parents to boyfriends. And this horrible prosecutor who is still smiling today in the film… maybe he should be choked daily to realise
she is a true definition of a strong woman ……………no no you heard me ………..strong woman not strong birthing people
Bm been beating up bw & children ppl call bw liars, bitter etc now tha world rich or not bm behavior very toxic colorist bs
Toll paid
I always try to remain neutral throughout these crime docs/series, watching and listening as the facts unfold. Heading perspectives from different angles by friends, witness, and such.
Sally appears to be not very sophisticated, I mean that in a evidentiary way and not demeaning, and trying to impose a killer vibe on her doesn’t fit her story. Aggressive yes, murderous no.
Ray is a stereotypical narcissists(I’m surprised nobody described him this way in the series), who manipulates situations for the best outcomes for himself. Living for free, working out for free, and competing liberally, I laughed at the trailer when they said “rising superstar”, not even close to the pedigree the top BBs.
In the end, the defense attorney had a weak argument, and period-wise, the fundamental beliefs surrounding abuse victims were just not developed and were not treated as they are now. Some prison with early parole would’ve been adequate for the second shot she lied about but certainly not 19years.
She was a victim but she also murdered that man… she had so many opportunities to leave him but she killed him instead and she picked this abusive bum OVER HER OWN KIDS!!!! Sally should have gotten life in prison, she don't even seem remorseful
I was introduced to Ray and Sally at a powerlifting meet in Oceanside, Ca back in late 1992 by a mutual friend who was a female bodybuilder/wrestler as well. It’s a very sad situation all around especially for the children. I didn’t know what to think back then, and I still don’t know what to think now, other than feel sad about the whole situation!
